5:21 PM Tesco buyers sacrifice more than 30 000 dishes in order to help the needy
Working with the FareShare charity and Trussell trust, food banks will help those in need. Tesco asked its own customers to donate long-life products to help people as a share of their simple store, and they were even more generous than ever. Since the program of collecting food products Tesco was launched in 2012, more than 52 million dishes have been donated. Food donated warehouses in the network of Tracel trust is given to emergency food sets people call, due to the fact that they do not have every chance to feed themselves and their own families. The food provided unselfishly to fareshare is divided between charities and community groups that use It to feed vulnerable groups, such as separated old people and homeless people. Lindsay Boswell of FareShare said: "the food donated to the Tesco Food Collection will make a lot of sense to the thousands of charities and social groups that FareShare supports. "Thanks to the generosity of Tesco's customers during the festive season, we have enough food to guarantee food for those who can help people in need all over England." Emma Revie of the Trussell trust Fund said: "our foodbank network has held the final moon, making sure that the people who turn to them without funds for food, do not gnedoed this Christmas. "This work has become likely thanks to the unimaginable generosity of Tesco buyers, shop assistants and volunteers during the collection of food products. "Thank you for your help - your good nature has put your appetite on hold this Christmas.”
