Tech talent was a key draw for Amazon in choosing new York and Northern Virginia for its own fresh headquarters. Both spaces have the place of being pools of trained workers; both spaces where talent desires to exist. But the colleges and institutes that produce the pipeline of most of this talent were still a significant draw. It is worth noting, in fact, that Cornell's technological campus in new York is directly vis-a-vis Amazon's upcoming home in long island, while Virginia Tech only just announced the construction of a fresh innovative campus at a price of $ 1 billion a few miles from the fresh location of Amazon in Arlington.
