Shopko stores have announced now the firm is filing for Chapter 11 ruin. As a share of their limiting, the Wisconsin-based retail dealer conceives of branding over 30 stores nationwide and relocating 20 optical centers to freestanding locations.

"This conclusion is difficult but necessary," said Russ Steinhorst, CEO. “In a difficult retail environment, we had the opportunity to make a rather difficult choice, but we have no doubt that by managing the smallest and more focused store, we will be able to build a more powerful Shopko, which will be than any other to serve our customers, suppliers, employees and other stakeholders through this process.”

Subsidiary of Shopko stores plan to stay open later to get $ 480 million in funding from a group of lenders headed by Wells Fargo Bank. Shopko has more than 360 stores in 26 States across the Central, Western and Pacific Northwest.
