Musicians have paid tribute to singer Roger Charlery, referred to as Ranking Roger, WHO has died aged fifty six. The Birmingham-born star, best referred to as a player with The Beat, died reception on Tuesday, enclosed by family, an announcement on the band's web site aforesaid. Condolences to his family." As a part of The Beat, Charlery spearheaded the two-tone movement with a particular vocal vogue influenced by the Jamaican rap technique of "toasting".
