Speaking with a major report at the official opening of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) medical center on Hagley Park road in St. Andrew yesterday, Dr. Tafton said, in fact, that while some groups are more vulnerable to infection by the disease, anyone has the ability to freeze to death by a microbial victim.

He said in fact that no 1 patient with HIV who seeks advice or treatment at municipal medical institutions, should not be denied service by reason of disease because the person convicted of violating the Directive will face the results for their own exposure.

"Patients with HIV do not have to be treated differently than people with diabetes or hypertension and other diseases. If we ever find that discrimination is actually used, we will take decisive measures, due to the fact that we are all vulnerable,” the Minister said.

The AHF, which is located at 183 Hagley Park Road, is considered the largest non-governmental organization in Jamaica providing offers and assistance to people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
