Los Angeles (AP) - when Doctor seuss has come to the end of his own life, childish Creator said his own wife, in fact she will need to care for the cat in the hat, the Lorax, the Grinch and all the beloved characters, which he did.

It was a task Audrey Heisel had been doing for over a quarter of a century. As a Trustee of the prolific and lucrative literary estate Of doctor seuss, she painstakingly guarded the unusual works of the writer and Illustrator, the least popular as Theodore Geisel, and expanded the legacy of seuss. She promoted a highly profitable multimedia brand, from books and films to attractions and Broadway shows “Seussical.”

Audrey Geisel, 97, died Wednesday in her own home in the section La Jolla San Diego, announced the children's books Random House.

Geisel, who founded the doctor Suze companies, said, in fact that she was close to the heart perceives the duty of her husband left her when he died in 1991.

Geysel was a citizen of Chicago and in the past, a student of the University of nurses at the Indiana Institute.

She and Theodor Geisel, who was 17 years older, were both married to other people when they began to love in the 1960s. His 1st wife, Helen, committed suicide.

Audrey Geisel sent 2 daughters she and her first husband to boarding school later Geisels married in 1968. The couple did not have a combined children — Suze is not even more adored children, she said.

"He was somewhat afraid of children," Audrey Geisel said to the AP.

Geisel said, in fact that is aware of the seriousness of this, in fact that she decided when her husband died, but said, in fact she was surprised how much work it was to keep control of the business and the philanthropy of the Foundation Doctor seuss.

She walked around Tony La JOLLA in a Cadillac with a license plate that said, " Grinch." And it arose on the events timed to her late husband.

In 2002, Heisel participated in the unveiling of the bronze statues of Suze and some of his most beloved characters at the Suze memorial In his hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts. The work was done on her daughter, the Lark grayish diamond-sculpted.

When Audrey Geisel suggested a statue of her own late husband sitting at the table, her blue eyes filled with tears as she bent down and kissed her.
