The CEO of Dayton Power & Light will resign

President and CEO of Dayton Power & Light Craig Jackson is leaving the energy firm, the firm's officials said Thursday.

Jackson " resigned in order to spend more time with his family and begin to study fresh abilities for a career,” the firm said in a statement.

Jackson will leave Dec. 31, 2018.

The firm has started the search of a successor to Jackson.

"I thank Craig for his unwavering commitment to providing value and unparalleled service to our customers," said Lisa Kruger, CEO of the AES energy section, in the firm's release. "As a result of Craig's leadership, we reoriented our business strategy to DP&L and went out of generation's business in Ohio.

"In IPL, we invested more than $ 2 billion in "greening" our generation knapsack and transferring reliable and affordable energy to IPL buyers,” the statement said.

Jackson joined AES as part of a DPL purchase in 2011. Over the past 7 years, Jackson has held countless top positions to his own current role as President and CEO of IPL and DP&L, encompassing the head monetary Director of DP&L.

"I am proud of all the achievements we have made together at AES over the past 7 years," Jackson said in a statement. "It has been an honor to work for the people of Indianapolis and Dayton and the communities around them to provide reliable and affordable energy.”

Jackson became CEO of DP & L in February of this year, resulting in another unexpected management change.

At the time, DP&L announced a corporate restructuring in which AES Corp.cut 60 working spaces in Ohio and 100 working spaces in Indiana.

That raga, Jackson's specific predecessor, became Executive Vice President of DPL Inc. in this control replacement.

Jackson was not available for explanations on Thursday, Mary Ann cable said, a spokesman for DP&L.

The cable declared, actually that resignation doesn't contain anything joint with criteria of business or behind-the-scenes work in municipal services.

"It was a choice that Craig made, and we honor that choice," cable said.

On the question of why the company twice changed the post of General Director in less than a year, she gave the answer, in fact that buyers must be no doubt, in fact that the leadership of DP&L remains measured.

"We have to test ourselves quite comfortably in the future," she said.

"We intend to start our search," that she. "We will look internal and external in relation to the company."

Owner of DP & L AES, based in Arlington, Virginia., bought DP & L in 2011.
