Tamya Roberts prepared for the cool weather when she gathered in the camp for the night for a Parade of roses with her own husband and 2 guys.

Her family brought picnic food, grill, 4 cots, 2 lamps, games and sparkling silver Christmas decorations to resurrect their sidewalk strip. They Packed chicken soup and burrito carne asada for Christmas dinner, and potato pancakes, eggs and sausages for Breakfast in the Fresh year.

She and 10 other tourists began to observe the spots along the 5.5-mile route of the parade within the afternoon on the first day of the week, preparing for night temperatures, which, according to weather forecasters, will be in the 30s and winds from 25 to 45 miles per hour, with gusts of up to 65 miles per hour. The highest heat of the air in Pasadena will be within 60 degrees in the Fresh year.

Weather includes civil servants on the alert for threats, these as pop-up tents which have all the chances to blow and the manufacture of food fires.

Almost all families are not afraid of cool weather in order to preserve the old habits. Roberts grew up watching the parade with grandma and started bringing his own guys back 15 years.

” They don't have a chance to go to a club, and I'm very old in order to come to the club," said she, ironically. "So actually that is elementary good home air.... I guess my kids will grow up and bring their own kids.”

Aaron Rodriguez began to watch the parade in the 1970s, when all the kids in his family were going to his grandparents ' camper to admire the floats. He recalls the year 2000, when there were fireworks in honor of the fresh Millennium. And 2007-his beloved year - when the Creator of "Star wars"George Lucas was a great Marshal.

Erica reed and her 14-year-old son, Aidan Howard-reed, celebrate their personal 5th year of roles in the rose parade. But this year they worked on the float for the first time. ” We wanted to go and make it happen, " reed said. "I prefer the noon pass. It's amazing to be a part of our small town.”

Other, in that numbers Heather Whippley from La Cañada-Flintridge, were brand new.

Vipfli slowed down at the space of his own family near the Boulevard orange grove on the first day of the week day, in order to introduce their own mattresses, blankets and heaters.

Showing her snow-white, plump winter coat, she joked that she was ready for the Arctic.

“I do worry about the cold, but I continue to see, actually that's not a problem,” said Wipfli.  I'm ecstatic. Parade-this is what I always wanted to participate and never had the ability.”

Wipfli was invited Jaime Herrera, the coach of her son in the center of the Aqua skins sport Rose Bowl who slept in the night before the event, more than 18 years. Wipfli takes, in fact she almost chickened out because of the weather, but Herrera assured her to stay.

"The parade is something that you actually need to try once in a lifetime, when you are from this area,” she said.
