MLS officially welcomes Austin FC as the 27th League franchise

MLS hosted this official Tuesday, welcoming Austin FC as the League's 27th franchise at the Texas city Moscow event.

Anthony Precourt, in the past, the owner of a Columbus team, which almost moved the eccentric MLS to Austin, to this than to implement a club in the district property and to continue their pursuit in Austin Autonomous, joined MLS Commissioner don Garber and the mayor of Austin Steve Adler in the peasant crane on a busy 6th street in downtown Austin for the ceremony, which recorded space of the metropolis in the League.

Precourt will add district traders to the membership group, reports the Austin American-Statesman. The club has already started staffing, and in the past, the head of business operations in Columbus Andy Laine, the above-mentioned team President earlier in January.

"Austin is a thriving metropolis-the embodiment of this, in fact that we have in shape when we talk, in fact that MLS is a” League for fresh America," said Garber. “We are very proud of the fact that we have become one solid prof sports League, which has become part of the structure of this current and prosperous South American metropolis."

Austin FC will become the 2-themed football team in the metropolis subsequently joining Austin Bold FC in the USL 2 championship values starting in 2019. Austin FC join the MLC in 2021 when the club fresh $225 million, a 20,000-thousand stadium in the McKalla space should not be closed to business. Connecting the club to the League leaves one open space in the direction of the current MLS expansion period to 28 teams. FC Cincinnati, the 24th team, begins performing in 2019 and will follow in the footsteps of the 2020 inter Miami CF and the fresh franchise in Nashville.

St. Louis, Phoenix, and Sacramento are between winners for the 28th berth, but Garber, who on Tuesday called Austin the "most difficult plan" in the MLS situation, showed up to the MLS Cup last month that the League isn't actually closed for expansion beyond the previously announced amount.

"We will provide the 28th team and take this conclusion in the direction of the proper 12 months," said Garber in Atlanta. "There is almost no rush. And we have to decide whether we want to expire beyond 28 teams. This discussion happens. ... But I have no doubt that we can support more than 28 teams in the Highest League of football. I have almost no hesitation.”

Austin FC is being made the third Texas team in MLS by joining FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo, and the stereotype that will respond with a first strike is high on the basis of the latest screenings of fresh clubs like Atlanta United and LAFC.

” Our goal is to build a team that will become a constant candidate for the MLC Cup, in order to build a stadium in the McKalla space, not inferior to the best sports grounds in North America and develop a club culture that brings people together and every time return, " Precourt said.
