Czech, Australian and Swedish researchers conducted a study in which it was found that Mercury's singing spectrum actually exceeded the average.

Apart from that, his vocal cords were willing to tremble at a higher frequency than the average. If the average person contains a spectrum of vibrato from 5.4 Hz to 6.9 Hz, Mercury was 7.04 Hz.

"Quantitative supervision, which uses the recently introduced parameter to assess the regularity of the singing vibrato, approved of its perceptively irregular nature, suggesting that the irregularity of the vibrato is considered a special feature of the singer's singing vocals," concluded a study published in Logopedics Phoniatrics Vocology.
