Ethel Euler, who had a cyclical role in the Cosby show, died in southern California at the age of 88.

Her family announced their own deaths last month in Loma Linda, California, in obituaries posted on Friday by the mobile registry and Baldwin County, Alabama.

The obituary for Euler recalled her as "a veteran African-American actress with a career spanning over 5 decades."

He continued: "Euler had a cyclical role for Carrie Hanks, and Huxtable's mom came home to relax on the Cosby show."

She was played by mom Claire Huxtable [Phylicia Rashad] throughout the launch of the famous sitcom from 1984 to 1992.

Euler was only 18 years older than Rashad, 70, portraying her own mom in the NBC series.

The actress appeared on may 1, 1930 in the metropolis of Whistler, Alabama and began her own career in the theater.

She made her off-Broadway debut in 1957 in the Langston Hughes musical elementary sky.

Euler made her Broadway debut that same year in Jamaica as Elena horn's understudy.

She has also performed outside Broadway on the Blacks: a Clown Show, which included upcoming Academy award nominees James Earl Jones, Cicely Tyson and Louis Gossett Jr.

Ailer's movie credits include Eva Bayou, a bodyguard, and dozing with anger, and she has yet to perform a guest concert on TV with 7th Heaven being her final credit in 2006.

Cosby bill Cosby's show in a key role, 81, centered on the Huxtable family from mount [Cosby] as the Patriarch of the family and his faithful Claire [Rashad] as the matriarchy.

Sitcom worked in the direction of 8 seasons on NBC from 1984 to 1992.
