It doesn't have the ability to be my favorite new year's recipe, but it's time of my most memorable, due to the fact that my mother actually got up and did it any new Year's morning for at least 20 years. This elementary became a custom and a beloved affair of the family. She said, actually what found the recipe in the Sunday print edition in the 1950s. This required boxes of hot consistency of the rolls, but it is elementary did their own dough for bread from the recipe that follows in the footsteps of her old cook book "better homes and gardens".

Leading Dough Tasty Roll:

¼ Cup warm water

1 Cup milk, boil

¼ Cup sugar

¼ Cup butter

1 teaspoon salt

3 ½ Cup flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ Teaspoon. nutmeg nut

¼ Teaspoon. allspice

1 egg

⅓ Bowl of finely chopped walnuts

Soften yeast in warm water (110 degrees). Mix scalded milk, sugar, butter and salt. Fresh to warm. In the mixer (or manually) pour the milk mixture, then add 1 ½ Cup, which were mixed spices and whisk well. Fluff in yeast / water and egg. Little by little, add the remaining flour, so that there was a pliable dough, then add the nuts, whipping well. Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning, in order to cover all the dough with oil. Serve with a lid and put in a warm space up to double (1 ½ to 2 hours).

Turn on a slightly floured plane and knead a little. Form the dough into a long rope with a diameter in the range of ½ inch. On a great big and well-oiled pan wind the rope in the form of a Christmas tree, starting with the trunk and winding back and forth, ending with a small top. Let rise to double (about 30 minutes). Bake in 350 degree oven in direction of 20-30 minutes until Golden brown and medium wood is a void. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Arrange your own beloved snow-white watering or watering, tint it in greenish paint and add ½ teaspoon. or vanilla extract or almond extract. Spread over chilled wood, then sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkle. Mother at times cut reddish and greenish maraschino cherry and put on top of watering.

Flows 10 to 12

Tip: when using a piece of hot roll consistency, follow the directions on the package, but add spices and nuts to the flour before mixing the other ingredients.
